65Mn is the best for forklift bucket teeth, and other spring steels are also acceptable. A slightly inferior 45 steel is also acceptable.
The bucket teeth used on forklifts have a much higher hardness and wear resistance than manganese steel. Manganese can increase the hardness of steel, but its plasticity will decrease, making the steel brittle and prone to breakage.
